Food plays such a big role in overcoming bulimia that I think it’s important to…
This is something I’ve never done on my blog before, but I’ve also never been contacted by the mother of a young boy with a severe eating disorder struggling for his life before.
I hope you’ll take a few minutes out of your day and listen with a compassionate heart to the story of young Allen Iglesia who’s been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, something along the scale of autism, who has had a fear of eating for much of his young life.
[polly_newsletter_form] Allen’s mom, Karen Iglesia, contacted me about a week ago asking for ideas and advice for how to spread the word about her fundraising efforts to help provide the money necessary to send her son to John Hopkins’ for eating disorder treatment and care. I’m not an expert at fundraising for sure, but I shared a few ideas with her and offered to share his story here on my blog in the hopes that angels would be listening and could help the cause.
Karen Iglesia did a wonderful job of putting together a video that tells Allen’s story and what the money they’re trying to raise will go towards. My goal with this post is to help Allen’s family connect with people of a generous spirit who can help pay it forward and help this young boy get the care and support he needs at this time in his life.[polly_book]
