Your Words Are Powerful

Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.

That may be just a rhyme many of heard when we were kids, but sometimes we let in words from others and they do hurt us.  And that’s because our words are powerful…especially when they’re said with passion and enthusiasm.

What’s great about knowing that words are so powerful is we can use our power for good.  To spread light in the world.
When I think about the power of words I think about Martin Luther King Jr’s speech “I have a dream”.  His words rang out into the ears of the listeners on the footsteps of the Washington Monument and across the airwaves decades ago.  And yet those words and his message continue to spread and ripple into future generations.

Knowing how powerful your words are, here are a few questions for you:

What words are you spreading like ripples into the world?

What words are you using in your vocabulary to spread your energy, your message into the world?

What message (like a big rock) are you dropping into the world’s big pond that will flow out into your now and future?
